Tell us about your research or engineering project

Describe your question, the kind of project and your target journal or deliverable. We will read your enquiry and reply with a recommended approach and what is needed to start.

Enquiry form

Send an enquiry

Confidentiality. Please do not paste sensitive or confidential datasets, unpublished results or personal data into this form. Describe the project and the data first; secure transfer can be arranged afterwards.

The honeypot and timing checks on this form only deter simple bots. Robust spam protection requires an external form service or server.

Before you write

Before you send a message

What to say in your first message

Please describe your project in general terms: the field, what you would like help with, the stage you are at and your timeline. The more specific you are, the more useful our reply will be.

Avoid including confidential data, personal data, passwords or unpublished results in this first message.

  • FieldThe area your project sits in
  • Help neededWhat you would like us to do
  • StageWhere the work is now
  • TimelineYour deadline and its driver

Manuscripts and industrial teams

If you have a manuscript, mention the target journal and the article type. If you are an industrial team, mention whether a non-disclosure agreement will be needed.

Scoping

Questions we may ask you

Answering these in your first message speeds up the scoping.

  • What is the research question or technical problem?
  • What data, models or drafts exist?
  • What output is needed: a paper, a report, a model or an analysis?
  • What is the deadline and what is driving it?
  • What constraints exist: software, confidentiality, ethics or funding rules?
  • Who will be the contact person?
  • Have you worked with support services before?
  • Are there institutional rules we should know about?

Next steps

What happens after you contact us

  1. We read and ask

We read your message and ask clarifying questions where needed.

  2. We respond

We respond with a view on feasibility and, where appropriate, a proposed scope.

  3. Engagement begins

An engagement begins only when a written scope is agreed.

What to expect

We aim to respond promptly but do not make guarantees about response times on this website. If your request is outside our scope or conflicts with our integrity principles, we will say so and, where possible, suggest alternatives.

A conversation is not a commitment on either side.

What we can and cannot discuss in a first conversation

In a first conversation we can discuss feasibility, approach, typical deliverables and the information needed to scope the work. We cannot assess confidential data we have not received, give a final price without scope, or promise outcomes such as acceptance by a journal. We can also explain our integrity boundaries and answer questions about how the website form works.

Working together

Files, meetings, privacy and access

Sharing files securely

After the first exchange, we agree on a method to share files that suits the sensitivity of the material. Please do not email unpublished data or manuscripts until this is agreed. Compress large files, name them clearly and include a short description of each. Provide units, sources and any known data issues.

If your institution or company requires a specific platform or security procedure, tell us in advance.

Time zones and meetings

We work with clients in different time zones. Mention your time zone and preferred meeting times. Meetings are most useful when you have prepared a short problem statement and a list of questions. We provide a short written summary after meetings so that decisions are recorded.

How the contact form works

The form validates your entries in the browser. When a delivery endpoint is configured, the form sends the message to that endpoint and reports success only if the endpoint confirms it. When no endpoint is configured, or if sending fails, the form prepares an email in your own email program so that you can send it yourself. It never displays a success message for a message that was not delivered.

The form includes a hidden spam trap and a timing check. These are not tracking tools. Your entries are not stored in your browser after you leave the page.

Alternative ways to reach us

The contact form is the primary route. If the form cannot send because of a network or browser restriction, use the email option it offers. Do not use the form for urgent safety-related matters or legal notices. For corrections to the website content, mention the page address and the issue.

Please note that this website is not monitored for emergency requests.

Privacy when contacting us

Contact details you provide are used to respond to your enquiry. The form does not use tracking cookies. If the form opens your email application, the message is sent through your email provider and is subject to its policies. The privacy policy page describes handling in more detail.

Accessibility of this page and the form

The form uses visible labels, programmatic error messages and keyboard-operable controls. If you have difficulty using it, you can send an email directly using the address displayed on the page and mention the issue so that we can improve it.

You can also email info@engrexpert.com and mention the issue.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What information do I need to send in an enquiry?

Your research or engineering question, the type of project, what already exists (data, model, draft or protocol) and your target journal or deliverable. A short description is enough, and it is fine to say what you are unsure about.

Can I send my manuscript or data with the enquiry?

No. The form does not accept files. File sharing is arranged after our first reply, and confidential or personal data should not be included in the form.

Is my enquiry confidential?

Enquiries are used only to reply to you and not for other purposes. The privacy policy explains how personal information is handled, and confidentiality terms can be agreed in writing before material is shared.

Do you provide certification or licensed engineering sign-off?

No. ENGRexpert provides research-level analysis, modelling and writing support. Certification, regulatory submissions and professional design sign-off need licensed engineers or accredited bodies.

Do you guarantee that a journal will accept my manuscript?

No. Publication decisions are made by journals and reviewers. We support the quality, clarity and integrity of the work, and never promise an outcome.

What happens after I send my enquiry?

We review it, ask for any missing information, confirm feasibility and propose a scope. Scope, timeline and fee are agreed in writing before work starts. See the project workflow.
